The city of Maebashi is known for the pure waters of the Tone River that has its beginning in the mountains around that town. People enjoy the pleasure of walking by the water’s edge. They enjoy drinking the fresh, clean water.
However, messengers are need to come to tell them about Jesus, who can give them water to drink, that will be the water of life to them. Jesus is the Water of Life. He is the one who can quench the thirst in their hearts, a thirst to be free from the burden of keeping the family altar, of taking care of the gods, of taking care of the deceased ancestors, of trying to secure loved ones places in heaven. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts to draw them to Christ, that their eyes will be opened to the truth of the gospel message.
