As English Bible study time with FA (young mother) has continued, she has begun to see how the stories are all related. She sees the progression of how God keeps being willing to offer a “way out” for each Biblical character who does something wrong. She learned the word covenant when we began to learn together about Abraham. Now she loves that word! Last week we began reading the narrative about Moses. When she saw how strong the Israelites were against the Egyptians, in spite of extra oppression, she asked, “Is that because of the covenant God gave to Abraham?” “Well, yes, I think that must be it!” There are needs in her family of origin, and as we begin to share more with each other, I continue to learn of a new situation that is in need of God’s healing. Pray with us that FA will keep her fervor for wanting to understand the Bible stories, and that this will turn into a hunger and thirst for God himself. Thank you for your prayers on her behalf, as well as for those she can potentially influence to also search for and find the Most High God.
