Much damage was done in Tohoku by the tsunami that hit Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate prefectures. Much damage was also done in Chiba prefecture, especially in Asahi city. This small city is located about an hour drive from the JGPNetowrk house churches in Togane. Many of you have prayed for Mrs. T and the house church leaders who drove that hour to have worship with her. There are a couple of small churches in this small town that suffered major damage from the earthquake/tsunami on March 11. Pray for God to supply their needs and for them as they try to minister to each other and those around them.
The situation in Asahi worsened yesterday when a 6.3 earthquake again shook the city. The epicenter was just below the city. Buildings that were already weakened fell to the ground. The fear level of the citizens rose another level.
What fills the hearts of the people of Asahi and those who live on the eastern coast of Japan? Fear? Worry? Grief? Anger? Sorrow? Probably all of these and more. After a month, people are seeking answers that will eliminate their fear, worry, anger, grief, etc. They are looking for new homes, for new jobs, new schools, a new vision of their future. Pray they will look for the true and living God!!!
