New Friends
July 20, 2009
Last week Danny went back to campus to spend time with two college guys Y and H. They met when a volunteer team was here, and were glad to see him. They introduced him to more of their friends who also were very cordial. They sat around the table talking about their future. Danny asked them where they wanted to be in five years, and each of them answered that they wanted jobs, of course, although he was trying to get them to think beyond mere office jobs and look at who they would like to be in five years. Although they may not have understood the meaning of this question, they eventually talked also about martyrs and what it means to be a Christian martyr, since Danny had just been to Nagasaki and learned about those martyred for their faith in Japan. Since these guys are very interested in studying English, Danny would like to offer them Bible based English study on their campus. Pray that this would happen soon, and lead to many students searching for meaning in life through God’s Word.
