Power in His Word

In June we met a young mother (FA) while at a park. She spoke English very well, so Nancy offered to spend time with her practicing English. She has come three times, and has already begun reading the Bible bi-lingually each time she comes. She brings her 16-month old baby daughter (CA) each time, and eagerly accepts prayer for her personal needs. As this new relationship is built, pray that her openness will help her continue to search for God’s answers to life’s problems. Pray that her search will lead to faith in Christ, so that God will help her begin to share with her family and friends, too.
The Sengmanys had their neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. K, over for a meal. Soon after that Mrs. K. began coming over for English Bible study. She couldn’t sleep because of fear of a bad spirit in one room. She received prayer for this problem, and by the next meeting time she had already been sleeping better. Mrs. K. also brought a friend, Mrs. Y, and now these two ladies eagerly come for English Bible lessons each week. Pray that Mrs. Y will be able to find help with her aging mother, so that she can continue participating in this time. Also, pray that God’s Word will work in these two hearts so that Christ will be accepted as Lord, and God’s kingdom work will be spread through them.
