Seeking God’s Will

January 14, 2008

The Norton’s who serve in Fukuoka but are currently are on Stateside write:

As you continue to pray for A.Y., please be aware that while we are on stateside assignment, she faces the challenge of not having a dependable worship situation. She continues in a discipleship relationship with a Christian from a different church, for which we are thankful. A.Y. wants to grow in Christ and know and understand more about God. In addition to her full-time job from Monday through Friday, she is in training every Sunday afternoon for another vocational skill. That leaves only Saturday for her to have needed rest, time with family and/or friends.

She expresses a desire for wisdom in balancing her time. She asks for prayer that she will be able to pass the tests for the vocational class. She wants to know God’s will for her life, both daily and in the long term. We ask you to put her on your prayer list and pray for her daily. You may never meet her on earth, but you will be helping the work of God’s kingdom by lifting up a young disciple who wants to be a harvest worker among her own people, the Japanese. Pray especially that God will grant her a servant heart toward her precious mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, with whom she lives. Pray that A.Y.’s mother will open her heart to want to know the God of Jesus Christ, in whom A.Y. has put her trust, so that she can also receive needed strength from Him. Thank you for your prayers.
