Three for KFC

May 26, 2008

John and Nancy returned from Stateside Assignment on May 22nd, and are looking forward to having three youthful volunteers arrive on May 30th. The volunteers are Jessica (from Mississippi), Jodi (from Texas), and Clay (from Kentucky). Jessica graduated from college a year ago, and Jodi and Clay are currently college students. This is a team that God has put together, but that will not meet each other until they get on the airplane in Los Angeles. This team will be serving with us in Fukuoka and Kitakyushu until June 16th, which is longer than any volunteer group we have ever had.

You can join us in the work by praying in the following ways:
1. Pray that this group will become a cooperating team quickly.
2. Pray that God has already prepared the hearts of people (mostly college students) they will meet, and that each volunteer will establish a good connection with at least one Japanese student.
3. Pray that Japanese students will be open to teaching our volunteers about their culture, food, and language.
4. Pray that the volunteers will not tire of eating food they have never seen before.
5. Pray that we will sense God’s guidance in where to go and how to talk and listen to people.
6. Pray that through the volunteers’ work there will be new contacts which lead to Bible study groups with students who trust Christ as their Savior.
7. Pray that the team will also be an encouragement to our young Christian, Ayako, as we worship together in house church.

Thank you for joining us through prayer. It is something without which we cannot continue the work.

Love and thanks in Christ,
Nancy and John Norton
