Reaching Out
January 30, 2010
Kindergarten community. Neighbors. Language teachers. These are three areas in which we are hoping to develop good relationships with people, share the gospel and work towards making disciples! With that in mind, we decided to host three Christmas parties. And, you guessed it! One for Jacob’s kindergarten class; one for our neighbors; and one for our Japanese teachers and their families.
We had over one hundred people in our home in one week! Sixty-five at one time! Forty-five of those were kids! We were a bit tired after that week, but we were able to meet many people and make ourselves known in our community. Even more importantly, all of these people left our house with gospel literature and a better understanding of the true meaning of Christmas.
Five neighbors specifically heard the entire gospel as we chatted over homemade cheesecake and apple cider. Will you pray for these friends, neighbors and teachers, that they will understand the Good News and desire to know their Savior, Jesus Christ?
