JCTV Strategy Group

The work of the IMB personal in PacRim Japan is divided among three strategy groups which target different areas of the country. Presently, one group targets the Tokyo Metro area. Another targets the Central Japan Mega Cites, which includes Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto areas and the Nagoya area. The rest of Japan is assigned to us, the Japan’s Cities, Towns and Villages Strategy Group or JCTV for short.

Our Outreach Japan website will introduce you to the JCTV Strategy Group personnel and the areas where they work. Presently, personnel are assigned to the major regional urban centers of Sapporo, Sendai, Shizuoka, and Hiroshima. One couple is working with nationals as the KFC team which focuses on Fukuoka/Kitakyushu Metro area on Kyushu Island. The Japan Gospel Penetration Network does not have full time IMB personnel but one couple works with them to target all of the remaining cities, towns in villages across Japan. Outreach Japan’s goal is to introduce you to our personnel but also to the great spiritual need of Japanese in the heartlands of Japan from Okinawa in the south to Hokkaido in the north.

As we look at our target area, we see that our personal and national partners are responsible for getting the gospel to approximately 70 million Japanese people, scattered across Japan, from the northern most island near Siberia to the southern most island which is only 160 kilometers from Taiwan. Those who live in the regional urban centers, small industrial towns, fishing villages and mountain hamlets across Japan, and those who live on the farms or work in the rice paddies in the heartland of Japan are all part of our cluster.

As you click on the name of each segment listed on our home page you will be introduced to the area, the needs, and the personnel who work there. You will also see ways you can be part of our team.

One very significant way you can be part of our team is to pray for and with us. We presently have 7 IMB units assigned to reach the 70 million people in our sphere of responsibility. If we divide that number up equally that gives each unit the impossible task of reaching approximately 10 million people with the gospel. You see the great need for laborers and the chance for you to be a vital part of a ministry here.

Our prayer is that you will visit the sites often, that your heart will be moved to pray for God to move in the hearts of Japanese who do not know Christ that many will hunger to know Him.
