Step By Step

June 17, 2008

Recently we attended our kids’ school’s Sports Day program.  The weather was great–thanks always for prayers of those kinds too!  The night before the big day, To-san (the head of the PTA’s father’s group), came unexpectedly to our house and asked Kevin if he could stand in for a safety skit the dads were set to perform the next day.  One of the dads wasn’t going to be able to make it and they needed someone last minute.  Not quite sure how much speaking was involved in the role, Kevin agreed and met the dads at the school early the next morning to rehearse.  It went well and again Kevin was able to connect with some Japanese dads–an answer to prayer.

Please pray for To-san and Ji-san in particular with whom Kevin talked both before and after the days’ events.  To-san is a insurance salesman and Ji-san sells medical supplies.  Ji-san has a daughter in our daughter’s class, and in March when we had some vacation time, it was Ji-san whom we met quite unexpectedly in a hotel cafeteria–several cities away and in another state away from Sendai.  WHILE WE MAKE OUR PLANS, IT CERTAINLY IS THE LORD WHO IS DIRECTING OUR STEPS!  Please keep praying to these ends.
