Merry Christmas
December 22, 2007
There are many across Japan who are celebrating Christmas for the first time as God’s children. To them Christmas has become meaningful and not just a holiday to buy Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Christmas Cake. As we watch their eyes fill with wonder at how much God loves them; how He sent His Son to be our Savior and comprehend the full implications of Christ’s birth, our hearts are blessed and challenged. Pray we will all be lights for Him.
Pray that all of us on the JCTV team will be faithful witnesses and that there will be lasting fruit from the many times we present the gospel during this special season. Pray that hearts of the Japanese will be open to the gospel message! Pray they will know that Christmas is about Christ and not Santa!!! There are many Santas and many Christmas decorations in Japan!!
The JCTV team wants to wish each of you a Merry Christmas. We pray God’s richest blessing on you as you serve the Lord where you are in 2008. Thank you for being part of the Lord’s work in Japan. Let’s continue to pray Luke 10:2b and till the soil so the gospel seeds that are plantsed will bear fruit.!! There was much harvest in 2007; pray there will be even more in 2008!! God bless each of you,!!

We are praying that the Lord of the Harvest will send more workers to Japan. We are also praying that more and more Christians will take part in short-term missions and that when they come to Japan they will gain an even greater understanding of what it means to be lost. We especially pray for more missionaries to Okinawa, the home of my wife Kiyoko. After spending many years there in the military and making numerous trips back to Okinawa, we still find the great spiritual need there. My wife’s family has nothing against Christians but simply do not feel the need for a Savior who offers them a relationship. We have been praying over 30 years for our Okinawan relatives and have yet to see one come to Christ which is a great burden on our hearts. We thank all of you for what you are doing to reach the lost of Japan. Gil and Kiyoko Stadley, Paynesville, Minnesota.
