Almost Spring in Utsunomiya

March 15, 2010

Our personnel in Utsunomiya were looking forward to spring until snow blanketed their city and much of the rest of Japan this past Tuesday. Now on Saturday it’s again starting to look like spring and the plum trees are in bloom.

God has been working in the life of a young lady that the Gierharts have been working with for years and she has turned her burdens over to the Lord and has trusted Christ

They continue to seek opportunities to share Christ and praise God for new opportunities that have opened for Bob as he as struggled to find men to witness to. He is now walking in the evening to little  snack places in their neighborhood and is building relationship around conversations about prayer, etc.

It’s an unusual little “night community” with just 5-7 chairs around a counter, in each little snack place, so it’s conducive to opportunities for spiritual conversations.  And there are 23 of these little places all in this one location!  Pray for many opportunities for Bob to share and that he will bring the Light of Jesus into the hearts of these men.
