Hakata Dontaku Festival

On May 3rd and 4th Fukuoka city’s population swells to 2 million, when people from all over the country come to the Hakata Dontaku Festival. At different times of the year in cities, towns and villages across Japan, the Japanese gather to celebrate the harvest, to pray for and to the dead, and seek to appease their gods. Pray for the all of them to come to know Christ, the Lord of the harvest.
